	Youth Transportation Services Inc. Youth Transportation Services (Y.T.S.) has been organized to aid parents in the safe and economical transport of their teen to a desired program. Many things went into the reasons behind starting this service. I prefer to be a service rather than a business. With my law enforcement background and growing up with a father in law enforcement for 32 years you learn a lot about how to treat people and how not to treat people. Especially how to treat people in crisis situations, no matter the size of the crisis. My Father spent his career with one basic philosophy. Treat people as you would like to be treated. That was strongly reinforced in my head one day when I was stopped and cited by another law enforcement officer in another state. I made a commitment that day to never treat anyone the way I was treated on that day. While working part-time transporting teens for a wilderness therapy program I looked behind me at a young girl in tears and asked her if she was O.K. Her response- "Do I look like I’m O.K.?" I asked what I could do to make things any easier for her. Her response- "Would you please tell me where I am and where I am going to?" I knew right then that there had to be another way to transport teens. I will always remember that young girl each time I go to a home to get a teen. Some years ago I was in a situation where I needed some money to help me in a tough situation. Each place I talked to required collateral or my first born before they could help me. I again made a commitment that day that if I ever had the resources to help people in a tough situation that I would do it. I now have the resources and will make every effort to ensure that money is not the determining factor in getting transportation help for your teen. These stories are the backbone of our service. My agents will treat every teen they transport as they would like their own children to be treated. Money and the immediate availability of financial resources will never be a determining factor whether or not to use our services. They will also take the time to see that each teen feels as comfortable as possible throughout the trip given the extremely stressful situation. Safety is paramount when providing these things. We make every effort to meet with the parents the day before the transport to answer any questions and concerns they may have. To make sure they are comfortable with us transporting their child and begin developing a lasting relationship for the future. It is our goal to put parent’s minds at ease that we will get their child safely to the program and in good spirits.
