FAQ

We understand that every escort brings with it a unique set of circumstances. These are intended to give you a general idea of our services. Please feel free to discuss your ideas with us when you call.

1. How much will this cost? .
Typical escorts have 4 expenses-airfare, hotel, rental car, time to complete escort
1. Airfare - We use a large travel service who is competitive with all other travel services, & usually a little cheaper. Any advance notice on airfare will save you large amounts of money. If you have access to frequent flyer points, or other programs, we certainly can use those
2. Hotel - Agents usually arrive the day before to meet with the parent(s). We find a reasonably priced hotel near the residence.
3. Rental car - Rental cars are used on all out of town escorts and are insured through our insurance company.
4. Time - Time is billed at an hourly rate for the time it takes to complete the escort. We do not bill for down time. If we arrive in your city at 5pm and pick up your child the following morning at 5am you are not billed for the 12 hours of down time.
5. Other - Other expenses such as incidentals, gas, meals, snacks, etc. are covered by Y.T.S. We do not add a percentage, surcharge, or any other charge to the airfare, hotel, rental car. If the fare costs me $100, then your cost is $100. We are committed to any safe options that will keep the cost of the transportation down. Please feel free to discuss those with us when you call.

2. How do I pay for this?
Generally we take care of all expenses up front. You receive an estimate of costs with the contract prior to the transport. We accept checks of all types, Visa, Master Card, and cash. We do understand the cost for the program is expensive so we can finance our transportation costs for you. You just need to let me know what arrangements you need. We do not charge for the financing.

3. What if my child puts up a fight, acts out, resists, refuses to go, etc.?
This is expected. Each agent goes into the escort knowing that all these things and more are possible. The agents are trained to deal with these situations. They know that this is very stressful and scary for every kid and their parent(s). I expect that every agent treat every kid as they would want their own child treated if they were in the same situation, treat them with respect, and be patient and understanding. Our agents have a variety of backgrounds. We try to match the child with an agent with similar interests.

4. How much notice do you need?
Generally speaking we are ready at a moments notice. The major factor here is flight availability.

5. What should I do to prepare for the escort?
The most important thing we like to see prior to the escort is that the parent(s) are comfortable with the agents coming to escort your child. Prior to the escort we like the agents assigned to you to contact you at a convenient time if possible and to meet with you the day/evening before the escort to go over any last minute details if possible. It is important that the child see that the parent(s) and the escorts are together.

6. What should I do the morning of the escort?
We like to pick up your child very early in the morning. We will come to where the child is and have you take us to their room. Once in the room we ask that you introduce us by our first names and tell your child that we need to talk to them and ask them to cooperate with us. At this point tell them briefly what you would like, bearing in mind that now they are going to be very upset and will not hear a lot that you say. We ask that you leave the house with all the occupants. We then spend some time talking to them explaining what is taking place. When they are ready we head to the airport. From this time on they are never more than an arm's length away from us.
